“What message does my Lord have for his servant?” The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. (Joshua 5:14-15).
The scripture above outlines the actions that Joshua and the Israelites took at the command of the Lord. Their obedience resulted in the delivery of their enemy into their hands. It also made quite a sound! If you read closely, you will soon realize that each action the Israelites took resulted in a sound; a Sound Of Obedience, or a Sound Of Jericho. That is what Sounds Of Jericho wants for their ministry; Obedience.
First and foremost, each member loves the Lord, loves to sing, and loves to minister to others through music. Also, each member of the group has extensive musical experience, well founded in Southern Gospel.
Sounds of Jericho released their debut project “The Story of His Grace” in December of 2012. The project included 3 songs that held chart positions on the Singing News Radio Chart, “Leave The Light On”, “Living Testimony”, and “Jesus Never Changes”.
The group released “Timeless Classics” in 2013, “Tell His Love” in 2015, and “Beggin’ for Change” in 2017. In August of 2020, “Joy Looks Good” was released on CD and in all digital markets. Both, “Beggin’ for Change” and “Joy Looks Good” were produced by award-winning Trey Ivey and are a very promising glimpse of what God has in store for this vocal group.
